Biography

I currently serve as an assistant professor in the Department of Leadership Studies at Louisiana State University - Shreveport. In July 2022, I was appointed Chair for the Department of Leadership Studies and Program Director for the Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies. I retired as a lieutenant with the Louisiana State Police and have 28 years of combined law enforcement experience. I am also a retired field-grade Army officer (reserves and active duty), which included numerous deployments worldwide. In addition to my doctorate, I hold a Master of Science Degree and an M.B.A. Before I was appointed an assistant professor, I was an adjunct instructor at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and an adjunct for the Louisiana State Police, where I taught leadership. My expertise includes law enforcement leadership, emergency management, and military leadership. My academic training also provides a solid background in business leadership as well as higher education leadership. In addition to instructing at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, I have also taught change management to newly appointed Air Force squadron commanders and currently serve as the commander for the 4^th Area Command, Louisiana State Guard, Camp Minden, La.
