Overview

TeachÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ is an alternative teacher certification program for those who have earned, at minimum, a bachelor's degree in any field outside of education. We are dedicated to preparing knowledgeable, skilled, and professional educators. Candidates who apply and are accepted should be prepared to designate sufficient study time as well as allot time for clinical experience hours as required. As a teacher candidate with the TeachÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Certification-Only Program, one is eligible to work as a full-time salaried school teacher while earning a Louisiana teaching certificate. (NOTE: TeachÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ operates as a mostly face-to-face program.)

How Do I Apply?

Step 2: Check your Eligibility

• Baccalaureate degree in any field outside of education from a regionally accredited university
• Minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 2.2 at the time the degree was conferred.

Step 3: Apply

• Access the undergraduate transfer application at . Choose Alternate Certification as your program objective.
  • Note: you are required to submit official transcripts from each university you have ever attended directly to the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Admissions Office.
