From November 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026, first-time freshmen and transfer students can apply to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ without paying an application fee. !

What You Need to Know as a Transfer Student

To transfer from another college or university to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, you'll need to meet the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ transfer admission requirements. If you meet those requirements, you will need to:

  1. Submit a completed ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ application online.
  2. Submit official transcripts from ALL previously attended institutions.
    • Transcripts can be mailed directly the Admissions and Records Office or sent electronically to admissions@lsus.edu via eScript-Safe, Parchment, etc.
    • If you are currently enrolled at another institution, you will need to submit a current official transcript now and an official transcript when your final grades are posted.
    • Hand-carried transcripts may be accepted as official if they are in the original, sealed, unopened envelope.
    • Unofficial transcripts may be used for conditional admission.
    • Full admission will not be granted until final transcripts have been received and evaluated.
    • Students must submit final transcripts by the end of the first enrolled semester or future registration will be prevented.
  3. Provide proof of immunizations or sign the immunization waiver through your account.
  4. Get advised by contacting the Office of Academic Advising in the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Student Success Center.
  5. Register for classes on .
  6. Complete or update your FAFSA by March 1 for summer, June 1 for fall, and October 1 for spring. You can find all necessary ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ financial aid forms here.
  7. Pay tuition and fees by the fee payment deadline (these can be paid with your financial aid, credit card, debit card, check or money order).

Transfer Admissions Requirements

In order to transfer to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, you must have:

  • Earned 2.0 GPA on all attempted college-level coursework (remedial courses do not count); AND
  • Completed a college-level English course and a college-level math course with a “C” or better; AND
  • Earned 18 hours of college-level coursework from a regionally accredited college (remedial coursework does not count toward the 18 hours).

We provide guaranteed admission for any applicant that holds an associate degree or bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.

If you don't meet transfer requirements, you must:

  • Be academically eligible to return to former institution (cannot be serving a suspension); AND
  • Meet ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½
What Credits Will Transfer to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½?

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ accepts credits earned from colleges and universities accredited by regional accrediting associations. Credits from other institutions may be considered on an individual basis. Transfer Scholarships
