SHREVEPORT – Come watch the LSU Shreveport baseball mini-documentary in person Saturday at a watch party hosted at Marilynn’s Place.
The mini-documentary will be released Saturday at 5 p.m. on various social media platforms, and Marilynn’s Place will splash the documentary on their big-screen televisions.
Fans can tune into ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ or ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Athletics social media accounts on , Instagram and Facebook to watch the 15-minute documentary titled “Impossible Season.”
The celebration comes one year to the day that the Pilots completed the first-ever perfect season in college baseball history.
ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ overcame a four-run deficit to beat Southeastern (Fla.) to claim the NAIA World Series on May 30, 2025, securing ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½’s 59-0 record and the university’s first ever national championship in a sanctioned NAIA sport.
Melissa Goslin, ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ alumna and one of the top directors at the 2025 Louisiana Film Prize, spearheaded the documentary in conjunction with PrizeFest founder Gregory Kallenberg.
The documentary features insight from ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ baseball players and coaches as well as local figures like former MLB infielder Todd Walker and Shreveport-Bossier Advocate sportswriter Roy Lang III.
The project dives into how the team was formed, when they first thought a “zero” in the loss column was actually possible, and how they both embraced and distanced themselves from the possibility of perfect.
