LSU System Retirement Plans Overview:

• Classified Employees: Louisiana State Employees’ Retirement System (LASERS)
• Faculty and Unclassified Employees: Teachers’ Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) or Optional Retirement Plan (ORP)
• Temporary Employees: Social Security and Deferred Compensation options

In addition, all classified, faculty, and unclassified employees are eligible to participate in supplemental retirement plans, including:
